Testimonial From Kay Adams

"Joanne has studied with me continuously since June 2008 in my Certified Journal Facilitator training program. She is a terrific student and a strong leader in the virtual classroom. Joanne is wonderfully creative in her thinking about therapeutic writing, and she's just about ready to launch a series of groups that I think will break new ground. I'm excited to have her as part of the professional community and the next generation of journal therapists."

What Participants Are Saying About The Workshops:

"The journaling workshop was a very enlightening experience. I had no idea there were so many ways to capture moments, feelings etc. Joanne was a wonderful facilitator, very positive and professional.  As well as sharing some of her own experiences, she shared many different methods with us and allowed us to practice and share our results (if we chose to). I would recommend this experience to anyone who is at all interested in journaling." – Karen, London, Ontario

"I had my reservations about going to this workshop when my girlfriend first brought it to my attention, but I'm very glad I went.  Sometimes things are meant to be.  I went to the workshop with certain questions I needed answered and it was there I found the answers. Joanne was a great facilitator.  She was sensitive and non-intrusive.  You could feel her genuine concern for each participant.  It was a nice group of women that seemed to connect and everyone respected each others private thoughts and feelings. I would highly recommend this to anyone that has been journaling or is intending to start journaling. - Ada, Windsor, Ontario

I wasn’t sure what it would be all about before I started. I loved it. I felt I was stretching myself in ways I rarely do. I found some answers that were surprising. It was fun. No, IT WAS FUN, & ENLIGHTENING. I found the other students very encouraging – a very good mix.  (What I liked best was) the self-discovery and techniques for doing so. Joanne’s gentle and non-judgmental manner really enhanced the class. I can’t think of anyone who could do it better. (I learned that) I have more talents than I thought with the creative side of my brain. (Nancy, Chatham, Ontario)

I really didn’t know what to expect and was amazed at some of the things I was able to write about. I think anyone would enjoy this workshop, not to mention benefit. (What I liked best was) the flow of the material. The time just flew by before you knew it. Joanne obviously journals and is so knowledgeable on the subject. Very welcoming and comfortable. (Anne, Chatham, Ontario)

It’s an enjoyable night out, relaxed female sharing time that made me see that we all share the same feelings and doubts, struggles, troubles, and joys. This workshop armed me with simple, easy tools that work like a surgeon’s precision to gently ply some deep old ‘stuff’ out of my dusty old attic. Coming here every week made me practice – Now if only I can keep it up. I loved how the guided meditations brought out such deeply buried insights. Every week I was surprised at the feelings and thoughts that came to surface. Well organized - well-paced – allowed time appropriately for thoughts, ideas, processing. I’ve learned I’m O.K. I’m a work in progress – just like everybody else – but that with a little effort I’ve got a wise soul that will never mislead me. (Mary, Chatham, Ontario)

DO IT! It can give you answers to any question in your life. It opens up possibilities. It opened up a tool to use to be my own counsellor; after all, who knows me best? Joanne’s gentle, caring, informative, knowledgeable, articulate and easy to be with.   (I learned) that I am my best counsellor. I have the best answers for me. I can write about any problems or wonderings I have. (Brenda, Tilbury, Ontario)
